Our church is located at the end of Grover Lane off of Old Bath Road, we moved to our current location in 1986 and opened a Christian school. The previous pastor of 30 years retired in 2003, at which time the current Pastor, Brad Mullins was voted in. He has spent much of his first 4 years ministering to individuals so they may in turn reach the multitudes.
Fairhaven is very missions oriented and currently supports 13 world missionaries and 3 home missionaries. Locally, the congregation focuses on reaching out to the unchurched of this generation, believing that children are the heritage of the Lord and the hope for today.
Each August, the church holds a Kid's Krusade which includes clowns, puppets, songs, games, and stories. Fairhaven also participates in a summer church camp for ages 8-19. Both Pastor Brad and his wife, Trish, have been personally involved in this ministry for 16 years. Through benevolence giving, the congregation has also assisted with people's practical needs-- from helping those displaced from their homes to those needing food, etc. The Bible clearly shows Christ meeting physical needs in order to minister to the spiritual need of salvation. Fairhaven believes that the Bible is relevant to today and that it will continue to be relevant to how people live their daily lives; that God is the same today, yesterday, and forever, and that despite the changing times and culture, God is an ever-present constant.
Fairhaven Assembly of God provides a place to worship God in spirit and in truth, a pathway through discipleship to learn and grow in the knowledge of God so that faith may increase. The congregation is committed to building up one another as its members are built up in faith, to sharing one another's burdens, to taking the life-changing message of the gospel to a world shrouded in darkness. and to "finishing His work" (John 4:34).
